Family Fun Update

The two weeks before Christmas, Arlington Baptist Church organised several online events, as we couldn't do normal services.  We held various family friendly events, we started with Scattergories Games Night and it was good to see so many people join us, we had two winning teams, but everyone got a prize for taking part.  We then held an online Nativity; it was lovely to see everyone dressed up.

We then held Christmas Carols and Lights at Bibury Football Club on the same night as The Cotswolds Chippy does Fish & Chip. We had various families from the community come and decorate a Christmas tree, we also had our big screen, where we played songs while people waited for the Fish and Chips. As we couldn't hold a normal Carol Service, this was a way of helping people celebrate during these difficult times.

On Christmas Day we held Christmas Unwrapped on Zoom, where several people joined us, it was only for 20 minutes, so some of the children and adults could show or their Christmas presents. This year it's made us think about how we can work in the future and instead of asking the community to come to us, that we need to get out into the community.
