Car Park
Arlington Baptist Church now has a new car park, this is especially helpful for elderly and disabled visitors, but also eases congestion in front of local residents homes.
Disabled Access
We now have disabled access into the church, which has made a massive difference to our elderly and disabled visitors.
Disabled Bathroom
We have updated our bathroom facilities, have installed a disabled bathroom, with better access. We have also installed secondary glazing in the bathroom.
Kitchen
We are now able to provide catering for our pop-up lunches and other events. We have also been awarded a level 5 Hygiene Certificate.
Old Schoolrooms Wall
The unstable brick work has now been sorted and the wall is safe.
Secondary Glazing
We have now put secondary glazing in the Old Schoolrooms, Kitchen & the Toilets, which has made the building much warmer and will save on our fuel bills, the most important point, is that its made our carbon footprint smaller, as we are not loosing all the heat through the windows.
Old Schoolrooms
It's been a delight to see the change in the Old Schoolrooms, the walls that were holding moisture can now breath and specialist breathable chalk paint has been applied. The Old Schoolrooms have also had new carpet and secondary glazing installed. The changes in this room, will allow us to use it more for events, but also allow the local community to use it, as we also now have a fully equipped kitchen. We are still working on an art project, that will be revealed soon, so watch this space....
Open Day.
The official opening will be held on Sunday 17th April at 5pm, when a plaque will be unveiled acknowledging our generous sponsors, but the community has already been enjoying the space for gatherings and meals.
